Description

In the mist-veiled province of Ulaid, where ancient forests breathe with quiet memory and the wind carries whispers older than kings, there walks an elf known as Archdruid Kaelthorn.

He was not always called this.

Kaelthorn was born beneath the boughs of an immense oak circle known as the Thirteen Elders, trees so old their roots touched the deep veins of the world. His birth name—Faelarion Thalas—was spoken only once aloud by his mother before the forest winds claimed it. Among his kind, names given by nature outweigh those given by kin.

From his earliest days, the boy showed an unusual stillness. While other elven children chased birds or practiced songcraft, Faelarion would sit for hours with his back against oak bark, listening. Not merely hearing—but listening. He claimed the trees spoke not in words, but in patience.

At fifty winters—still young by elven measure—he wandered beyond the grove during a violent storm. Lightning split the sky, and a great oak was struck, its trunk torn open and burning from within. Rather than flee, the boy approached. Witnesses would later say the storm quieted around him, as if held at bay.

He placed his hands upon the shattered bark.

And the fire… dimmed.

From that night forward, he was called Kaelthorn—for the soft veil of silver fog that seemed to follow him, and the calm he carried even in chaos.
